Milsean in Gaelic means "Sweet Things"
Milsean Bouviers was established as a registered kennel name in 2002.
Pat & Peter Ringler have owned Bouvier de Flandres dogs for 15 years.
Many of our dogs have been successful in the show ring and some have also
gone on to gain obedience and rally titles after their show career. We are
or have been active members of the Canadian Kennel Club, The Bouvier de Flandres Club of
Canada Inc., The Ontario Bouvier Club and kennel clubs. Pat is currently the secretary/
treasurer of
The Ontario Bouvier de Flandres Club, and has previously been a director and
secretary for the Bouvier Club of Canada. Pat is also a director of
the Burlington Kennel and Obedience Club. Peter has been the National Club
Liaison for the Ontario Club as well has having served as a
director for the Burlington club, and the Ontario Bouvier Club. We have also helped with the Bouvier
rescue efforts in Ontario by fostering and doing home interviews.
Cdn Ch Quiche's Bet on Me - Her very first show saw her going Best of Opposite (to her father) over another champion bitch 3 days in a row! Betsy was bred by Elaine and Louise Paquette who co-own Betsy with us. Betsy's first litter born in 2006 included Ch. Milsean's Eli, Her daughter Quiche's Fanny Mae is on her way to earning her championship. Eli sired 2 litters, and now has a champion son to his credit. Cdn/Am Ch Thorcourt's Josephine CD/RN - the gray bitch on the home page. Josie won her Cdn. championship at the age of 1 at the Trillium show. Josie took Winners Bitch at the Southeast Michigan Specialty in March of 2002 to earn her second major and completed her U.S. championship on November 29, 2003 she completed her American championship by earning a 4 point major. Josie earned her Cdn. Companion Dog obedience title at the age of 7 in 2007 and has her first 2 legs towards her Rally Novice title. Josie is the momma of 35 puppies from 4 litters. To date, six of her puppies have earned 15 CKC or AKC titles between them. So far grandchildren hold 3 titles in 2 countries, Several grandchildren are now busy earning additional championship titles to add to the heritage of champion dogs. Am/Cdn Ch. Milsean's Avery Josie's Girl Am/Cdn CD Am RN- Josie's daughter from her "A" litter, a sweet girl who holds her own in the herd and loves pestering the rest of them! Avery has finished showing in both Canada and the U.S. She is now the mother of her first litter of 7. Avery has also been successful gaining her herding instinct (2005), temperament test (2004), and Therapy Dog International test (2005). Am/Cdn Ch Milsean's Dream Girl from Avery's first litter of pups born in 2005 has earned her Cdn. Championship in 2007 including 2 Puppy Group 1st placements to her credit. Her U.S. championship was completed in 2009. From Avery's second litter, Milsean's Harry Barry and Milsean's Holly Barry are both pointed towards their initial championships, Holly having earned both majors toward her U.S. title and has 2 Best Puppy in Specialities to her credit. Am/Cdn Ch. Milsean's Bridgette and Am/Cdn. Ch Milsean's Born to Rock from Josie's "B" litter. Brock took his U.S. championship, with 3 5 point majors and a 4 point major in quick succession. He now has several Best of Breeds in the U.S., thanks to his handler Myra Roth.. Bridgette took Winner's Bitch at the 2006 Greater Washington Specialty for her first 5 point major. Bridgette's first litter of pups sired by Eli are showing great promise. Bridgette already has 1 champion son from her litter, Ch Milsean's Guilford Bustin Loose! Am/Cdn Ch. Milsean's Carpenter's Lexus - Best Puppy at her very first showing - the Southeast Michigan Specialty- 2005, Winner's Bitch - Ontario Specialty 2006, Winner's Bitch - Cdn. National Specialty - 2006. Reserve Winner's Bitch U.S. National Specialty - 2006, Winner's Bitch Southeast Michigan Specialty - 2006. Lexie completed her U.S. title in 2007. It is expected 3 pups from Lexie's first litter sired by Eli will start showing in 2009. Ch. Roxy's Little Napoleon 1994-2005 - the black dog on our home page passed away just short of his 12th birthday. At 7 he won Winners Male at the 2001 Cdn. National Specialty and went on to the Limestone show to win his Championship. In 2002 he won Veteran Male at the Ontario Specialty, followed by Best of Veterans at the 2003 Ontario Specialty. In November 2002, Leon earned his Herding Instinct Certificate. Leon enjoyed visiting in nursing homes and being loved by small children. |
